Toronto Flip

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Canadian whisky
  • 22.5 ml Ruby port
  • 1 piece Whole egg
  • 10 ml Sugar syrup
  • Garnish Grated nutmeg

Preparation

  1. Dry shake all ingredients.
  2. Shake with ice.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
  4. Garnish with grated nutmeg.

The Toronto Flip is believed to have originated in the early 20th century, combining Canadian whisky with a whole egg for a rich texture. It reflects the influence of classic flip cocktails and has been revived in modern cocktail culture.
