Ingredients
- 45 ml Gin
- 15 ml Vodka
- 7.5 ml Lillet Blanc
- Garnish Lemon peel
Preparation
- Shake all ingredients with ice.
- Strain into a chilled martini glass. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
- Garnish with lemon peel. Use a peeler or knife to cut a wide strip, avoiding the white pith. Twist it over the drink to release the oils, then drop it in.
Origin Story
The Vesper cocktail was introduced by Ian Fleming in his 1953 novel 'Casino Royale,' where it was famously ordered by James Bond. It combines gin, vodka, and Lillet, becoming a symbol of sophistication.
