Ramos Gin Fizz

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Gin
  • 15 ml Lemon juice
  • 15 ml Lime juice
  • 30 ml Sugar syrup
  • 30 ml Heavy cream high-fat cream (36%+), also called double cream
  • 1 piece Egg white
  • 3 drop Orange flower water
  • 30 ml Soda water

Preparation

  1. Dry shake all ingredients except soda vigorously for 2 minutes.
  2. Add ice.
  3. Shake again.
  4. Strain into a Collins glass. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
  5. Top with soda.

Origin Story

The Ramos Gin Fizz was created in New Orleans in the late 1880s by bartender Henry C. Ramos. It is known for its labor-intensive preparation and creamy texture, making it a unique addition to the gin fizz family.
