Piña Colada (shaken)

Ingredients

  • 60 ml White rum
  • 30 ml Coconut cream
  • 60 ml Pineapple juice
  • 15 ml Lime juice
  • Garnish Pineapple wedge

Preparation

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice.
  2. Strain into a rocks glass over ice. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
  3. Garnish with pineapple wedge. A wedge is a thick, lengthwise slice — usually a quarter or eighth of the fruit.

Origin Story

The Piña Colada, originally created in Puerto Rico in the 1950s, has seen various adaptations, including the shaken version. This cocktail encapsulates the tropical spirit and the island's rich rum culture.
