Painkiller

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Dark rum
  • 120 ml Pineapple juice
  • 30 ml Orange juice
  • 30 ml Coconut cream
  • Garnish Grated nutmeg, pineapple wedge

Preparation

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice.
  2. Strain into a hurricane glass over crushed ice. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
  3. Add grate nutmeg on top.
  4. Garnish with grated nutmeg, pineapple wedge. A wedge is a thick, lengthwise slice — usually a quarter or eighth of the fruit.

Origin Story

The Painkiller cocktail was created in the British Virgin Islands in the 1970s, specifically at the Soggy Dollar Bar. It became a beloved tiki drink, known for its tropical flavors and refreshing qualities.
