Grasshopper

Ingredients

  • 30 ml Crème de menthe (green)
  • 30 ml Crème de cacao (white)
  • 30 ml Heavy cream high-fat cream (36%+), also called double cream
  • Garnish Grated chocolate

Preparation

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice.
  2. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
  3. Garnish with grated chocolate.

Origin Story

The Grasshopper cocktail is believed to have been invented in the 1920s at a New Orleans bar called Tujague's. It gained fame as a dessert cocktail, known for its vibrant green color and creamy texture.
