Air Mail

Ingredients

  • 30 ml Gold rum
  • 15 ml Lime juice
  • 15 ml Honey syrup
  • 90 ml Champagne

Preparation

  1. Shake rum, lime and honey with ice.
  2. Strain into a flute. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
  3. Top with champagne.

Origin Story

The Air Mail cocktail is believed to have emerged during the Prohibition era in the United States, around the 1920s, when drinks were smuggled across borders. Its combination of rum, lime, and honey syrup reflects the tropical influences of the Caribbean, making it a popular choice among adventurous drinkers.
