Rum Daisy

Ingredients

  • 45 ml White rum
  • 22.5 ml Lemon juice
  • 15 ml Orange curaçao
  • 10 ml Grenadine
  • Garnish Orange slice

Preparation

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice.
  2. Strain into a coupe glass over crushed ice. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
  3. Garnish with orange slice.

Origin Story

The Rum Daisy emerged in the early 20th century as a variation of the classic Daisy cocktail, which traditionally featured gin or brandy. It became popular in the United States, particularly during the Prohibition era, when rum was increasingly favored.
