Pink Gin

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Gin
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters

Preparation

  1. Stir gin with bitters and a little ice.
  2. Strain into a coupe glass. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.

Origin Story

The Pink Gin originated in the mid-19th century, primarily associated with British naval officers who would mix gin with Angostura bitters as a remedy for seasickness. Its name comes from the pink hue imparted by the bitters, and it became popular in British society as a simple yet effective cocktail.
