Fitzgerald

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Gin
  • 22.5 ml Lemon juice
  • 15 ml Sugar syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Garnish Lemon wedge

Preparation

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice.
  2. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
  3. Garnish with lemon wedge. A wedge is a thick, lengthwise slice — usually a quarter or eighth of the fruit.

Origin Story

The Fitzgerald cocktail is thought to have been created in the early 20th century, named after the famous American author F. Scott Fitzgerald. It gained recognition in the cocktail revival of the 21st century, celebrated for its refreshing combination of gin and citrus.
