Pegu Club

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Gin
  • 22.5 ml Orange curaçao
  • 22.5 ml Lime juice
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • 1 dash Orange bitters
  • Garnish Lime wheel

Preparation

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice.
  2. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
  3. Garnish with lime wheel. A wheel is a thin, round cross-section slice of the whole fruit.

Origin Story

The Pegu Club cocktail was named after a British colonial club in Burma and gained fame in the early 2000s thanks to bartender Audrey Saunders at her New York bar, Pegu Club. It embodies the classic gin sour style with a modern twist.
