Ingredients
- 60 ml White rum
- 30 ml Lime juice
- 20 ml Sugar syrup
- 8 leaves Mint leaves
- 60 ml Soda water
- Garnish Mint sprig
Preparation
- Gently muddle mint with syrup and lime juice.
- Add rum and ice.
- Top with soda water.
- Stir briefly.
- Garnish with mint sprig.

The Mojito has roots in 16th century Cuba, where a similar drink was made with aguardiente, mint, and lime. It gained modern popularity in the 20th century, particularly as a favorite of Ernest Hemingway at La Bodeguita del Medio in Havana.
