Margarita

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Tequila blanco
  • 30 ml Lime juice
  • 30 ml Triple sec
  • Garnish Lime wheel

Preparation

  1. Rim the coupe glass with salt. Don't know how? Moisten the rim with a citrus wedge, then dip it in a plate of salt.
  2. Shake all ingredients with ice.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
  4. Garnish with lime wheel. A wheel is a thin, round cross-section slice of the whole fruit.

Origin Story

The Margarita is believed to have originated in Mexico in the late 1930s or early 1940s, with various accounts attributing its creation to different bartenders. Its rise in popularity is often linked to American tourists visiting Mexico, who embraced the refreshing tequila-based cocktail.
