Frozen Margarita

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Tequila blanco
  • 30 ml Triple sec
  • 30 ml Lime juice
  • 15 ml Sugar syrup
  • Garnish Lime wheel

Preparation

  1. Rim the margarita with salt. Don't know how? Moisten the rim with a citrus wedge, then dip it in a plate of salt.
  2. Blend all ingredients with a cup of ice until smooth.
  3. Pour into a margarita.
  4. Garnish with lime wheel. A wheel is a thin, round cross-section slice of the whole fruit.

Origin Story

The Frozen Margarita gained fame in the 1970s, particularly in the United States, as a frozen version of the classic margarita. Its popularity coincided with the cocktail culture boom and the growing love for tequila-based drinks.
