Elderflower Collins

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Gin
  • 22.5 ml Elderflower liqueur e.g. St-Germain
  • 22.5 ml Lemon juice
  • 90 ml Soda water
  • Garnish Cucumber slice, lemon wheel

Preparation

  1. Shake gin, elderflower and lemon with ice.
  2. Strain into a Collins glass over ice. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
  3. Top with soda.
  4. Garnish with cucumber slice, lemon wheel. A wheel is a thin, round cross-section slice of the whole fruit.

Origin Story

The Elderflower Collins is a contemporary take on the classic Tom Collins, gaining popularity in the 2000s as elderflower liqueur became a staple in cocktail bars. Its refreshing and floral profile appeals to those seeking a light, effervescent drink.
