Daiquiri

Ingredients

  • 60 ml White rum
  • 30 ml Lime juice
  • 15 ml Sugar syrup
  • Garnish Lime wheel

Preparation

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice.
  2. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
  3. Garnish with lime wheel. A wheel is a thin, round cross-section slice of the whole fruit.

Origin Story

The Daiquiri is believed to have been created in the late 19th century in Cuba, specifically named after a beach near Santiago. It became popular among American tourists and was further popularized by figures like Ernest Hemingway in the mid-20th century.
