Ingredients

  • 45 ml Old Tom gin
  • 10 ml Maraschino liqueur e.g. Luxardo
  • 10 ml Lemon juice
  • 2 dashes Orange bitters
  • Garnish Cherry, lemon twist

Preparation

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice.
  2. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
  3. Garnish with cherry, lemon twist. Use a peeler or knife to cut a wide strip, avoiding the white pith. Twist it over the drink to release the oils, then drop it in.

Origin Story

The Casino cocktail is thought to have originated in the early 20th century, with some sources tracing it back to the 1910s. It showcases Old Tom gin and was popularized during the cocktail renaissance of the early 2000s.
