Paloma

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Tequila blanco
  • 15 ml Lime juice
  • 120 ml Grapefruit soda
  • 1 pinch Pinch of salt
  • Garnish Grapefruit wedge

Preparation

  1. Rim the glass with salt. Don't know how? Moisten the rim with a citrus wedge, then dip it in a plate of salt.
  2. Build in a highball glass over ice.
  3. Add tequila and lime juice.
  4. Top with grapefruit soda.
  5. Garnish with grapefruit wedge. A wedge is a thick, lengthwise slice — usually a quarter or eighth of the fruit.

Origin Story

The Paloma is a traditional Mexican cocktail that likely emerged in the mid-20th century, combining tequila with grapefruit soda. It is often enjoyed as a refreshing drink, especially in warmer climates.
