Bamboo

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Dry sherry
  • 45 ml Dry vermouth e.g. Noilly Prat, Dolin Dry
  • 2 dashes Orange bitters
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • Garnish Lemon twist

Preparation

  1. Stir all ingredients with ice.
  2. Strain into a Nick & Nora glass. Don't know how? Pour the drink through a strainer (or the built-in strainer on your shaker) to catch the ice and any solids.
  3. Garnish with lemon twist. Use a peeler or knife to cut a wide strip, avoiding the white pith. Twist it over the drink to release the oils, then drop it in.

Origin Story

The Bamboo cocktail is thought to have originated in Japan in the late 19th century, before gaining popularity in the United States, where it was embraced for its refreshing, low-alcohol profile.
